2021 Speaker Round Up

2021 Speaker Round Up

As we come to the end of 2021 I wanted to say a huge thank you to all the clients and speakers that have worked with us this year. We are incredibly grateful and whilst it has not been an easy ride for many, we are delighted to see the return of some live events.

We wanted take this opportunity to look back at some of the highlights of the year and some of the key topics that have been popular this year too.

MENTAL HEALTH

Clarke Carlisle speaker bookingThe demand for mental health speakers has been very consistent throughout this year. Clarke and Carrie Carlisle (Clarke pictured) shared their experiences with a number of clients whilst Dan Keeley spoke at an in-person event in September on his mental health journey.

Katie Maycock spoke to several clients on how to avoid burnout and Sue Firth spoke to a Housing Association on managing mental health. Penny Mallory has also spoken to a client on Mental Toughness

CYBERSECURITY

With working from home and companies working more and more remotely we have seen a rise in the number of requests for Cybersecurity speakers.

We were delighted to have worked with the likes of Charlie McMurdie and Garry Hibberd this year and Bennett Arron, (pictured) in particular, who spoke online for one company in Australia and another in the USA.

DIVERSITY AND INCLUSION

Another very popular theme this year. Matt Ellison (pictured) has proved to be a very popular speaker talking on his transgender story, whilst Winston Clements and Anne Wafula Strike have spoken on diversity and inclusion and disability issues too.

Donna Fraser spoke at two online conferences about her work with diversity, and Anj Handa has spoken for several companies on equality within organisations.

TEAMWORK

Anthony Bennett speaker bookingIn recent months many companies have brought their staff back together for the first time in a year or so.

Speakers such as inspirational speaker Anthony Bennett, Polar explorer Alan Chambers, and leadership speaker Caspar Craven have all spoken on Teamwork.

EMPATHY

Some clients have asked about empathy in the workplace and Shola Kaye has proved to be a popular choice to talk on the subject and how to bring your team with you on a shared journey.

Falklands Veteran Simon Weston CBE also speaks on empathy and compassion and with the Falklands 40th Anniversary in 2022, Simon has already had a number of bookings confirm for next year

INNOVATION

Lastly, innovation continues to be a strong point of interest and how we can now build back better and create a culture of innovation within organisations. James Poulter has proven again to be a popular speaker on the subject, whilst Inma MartinezAndrew Grill and Graeme Codrington have spoken at similar events this year

We were also delighted to have worked on the Northumbrian Water Innovation festival this year and were delighted to have worked with the likes of Will Kirk, Rory Cellan Jones, and Louis Theroux on the event.

It’s not all been motivational too! We have been delighted to have worked with Rev Richard Coles, Alfie Moore, and Kevin Keegan at some after-dinner events.

These are off course, just a few highlights of the year and as always a huge thank you to all the clients who have worked with us this year and all the speakers and we look forward to 2022 with the hope that more live events continue to return.

Testimonials

We have worked with Matthew for many years and will continue to do so. His knowledge of the Speaker Market and ability to interpret our clients requirements is quite exceptional.

He is incredibly thorough in his approach and always goes that extra mile to ensure everything is exactly as required.

I am always happy working with Matthew, he has great credibility, he is very diverse in his ability to make things happen.

Matthew Fisher and I have worked together for many number of years. I have always found Matt to be honest, good natured and willing to work hard always carefully selecting the best appearances to suit my personality and lifestyle.
