NEW SPEAKERS

We are delighted to welcome two new speakers to our website – Garrett Emmerson and Marie-Helene Pelletier. 

Garrett Emmerson is the former Chief Executive Officer of the London Ambulance Service (LAS) who led the Service through the COVID-19 pandemic, as well as responding to multiple major incidents including the two London Bridge terrorist attacks and the Grenfell Tower fire tragedy. Appointed to modernise the Service after it was put into ‘special measures’ by NHS regulators, following a damming report by Care Quality Commission (CQC) inspectors rating it ‘inadequate’ overall, Garrett oversaw a transformation that, within two years, saw it exit special measures and be re-rated as ‘Good’ overall by the CQC.

Marie-Hélène Pelletier is a Resilience & Mental Health Expert and SpeakerThroughout her career in business management and psychology, Dr. Marie-Hélène Pelletier has spearheaded a national dialogue on the crucial issues of leadership resilience and workplace health.

Drawing on her extensive background in corporate, insurance, governance, and public sectors, she brings national and international perspectives and expertise on mental health and resilience as a key pillar of overall health. She is a bilingual practicing psychologist with over 20 years of experience in clinical psychology and advisory workplace psychology and holds a Ph.D. and an MBA from the University of British Columbia. Marie-Helene is a Member of the Global Clinical Practice Network of the World Health Organization, and past Director on the boards of the Canadian Psychological Association and the International Association of Applied Psychology.

Fashion Designer Gemma Sheppard has recent become the world’s first fashion stylist in metaverse as part of a pioneering collaboration with metaverse investors Metaventures and gaming giants Roblox. For more information see her webpage

Dr. Ed Coats, who worked on the front line during the pandemic, and who previously took part in the South Pole Race, has recently updated his biog and speaking topics. 

Yassmin Abdel-Magied has recently sent us an updated showreel on her diversity and inclusion talks. 

Anna Hemmings speaker bookingOlympian Anna Hemmings has recently added a new speech topic to her portfolio around Disruptive thinking.  

In this speech on the topic of Disruptive Thinking for the Competitive Edge, Anna will use anecdotes from her journey in sport and business and share not just what disruptive thinking is but also simple and practical strategies for embracing it and applying it in your life to help gain the competitive edge.

The speech covers-

  • What disruptive thinking is and how to disrupt the status quo
  • How to challenge assumptions and approach situations from different perspectives
  • The power of the creative subconscious and how to harness it for your success
  • The importance of cognitive diversity and embracing a broad spectrum of thinking styles

And lastly, International Confex returns this year on 8th and 9th March 2022 at Excel in London. Considered by many to be the place where the event industry meets.
