Gemma Sheppard
Gemma Sheppard is one of the UK’s leading fashion and lifestyle stylists and speakers and recently appeared in the new series of Channel 5’s hit makeover programme 10 Years Younger in 10 Days.
Gemma’s career began at Tiffany & Co under the realm of Rosa Monckton MBE, which led to a director role at Boucheron (Gucci Group) and exciting projects with top fashion names including Tom Ford, Alexander McQueen, Isabella Blow, Sam Taylor-Johnson, Daphne Guinness and Stella McCartney.
Gemma Sheppard runs a successful style consultancy, SheppardStyle, and over the years has established a portfolio of high profile clients in music and television. She became lead stylist on The X Factor in 2014, the following year joined Britain’s Got Talent in the same role and, for many years, worked on ITV’s Dancing On Ice. She is currently working as the Global Creative Fashion Director for Universal Music’s family brand Kidz Bop.
After launching fashion and lifestyle blog Saluting Style with close friend, TV presenter Emma Forbes, the pair joined forces in 2016 to begin a weekly podcast aimed at women aged 40+. Gemma and Emma (formerly The Lifestyle Newshound) tackles issues relevant to women over 40 including interiors, beauty, health, relationships, careers and fashion and has featured guests including Jamie Oliver, Kelly Hoppen, Alan Carr, Eamonn Holmes, Sharon Osbourne and Jasmine Hemsley. The podcast was quickly snapped up by British Airways as part of its High Life Entertainment in-flight service.
Living between the UK and Ibiza and a busy mum-of-three (Otto, 15 and twins Tallulah and Asa, 14), Gemma’s sartorial expertise is in frequent demand. She has fashion edited at White Ibiza magazine and is a go-to fashion commentator on programmes including CNN, This Morning and BBC Radio London. Gemma has also consulted with a variety of international brands including the DFS group, Miele, Vision Express, Dylan and Nu Skin.
Most recently, Gemma Sheppard has become the world’s first fashion stylist to join the metaverse – a collection of immersive, real-time 3D worlds where people work, play and communicate using avatars.
Opening a new chapter in a changing world of fashion, Gemma is collaborating with Metaventures – an investment firm that backs metaverse startups – in the gaming platform Roblox to provide virtual styling services for fashion fanatics, helping to create and customise wardrobes for their digital identities.
