Hosted by the Mental Health Foundation, Mental Health Awareness Week takes place this year between the 9th and the 15th of May 2022. The week aims to try and focus on achieving good mental health and this year’s main topic is loneliness. With many people working remotely now and feeling more isolated due to the pandemic, the foundation will be raising awareness of the impact of loneliness on our mental health and the ways we can take to address it. If you are planning an event to mark this week, these are some of the speakers we would recommend, not just covering loneliness but mental health in general.
Throughout her career in business management and psychology, Dr. Marie-Hélène Pelletier has spearheaded a national dialogue on the crucial issues of leadership resilience and workplace health and delivers a number of talks in this field including her talk on “Front line mental agility: Preventing and managing compassion fatigue and burnout” She has kindly allowed us to publish this short article she has written on burnout.
From time to time a new topic starts to filter into enquiries, and in recent months we have started to receive a few requests around the Metaverse. The metaverse is defined in the Oxford English Dictionary as a “virtual-reality space in which users can interact with a computer-generated environment and other users.” But this does not answer a lot of our questions and how it might impact businesses. James Poulter is the founder and CEO of Vixen Labs one of the UK’s leading Voice Technology companies and is a thought-leader and speaker on Innovation Culture, the Future of Work, and Emerging Technologies. His most recent speech helps cover just that question.

Throughout the year we sometimes get asked to help supply speakers who can talk about the economy and the current financial climate and what businesses can expect to affect them in the coming months. On Wednesday 23rd March 2022, the Spring 2022 forecast statement is due by the government, when we might get a bit more clearer picture of how things might affect businesses. If you are planning an event around March time or at some point in the year and looking for a speaker to talk on financial subjects or the economy, these are a few of the speakers we work with.
