Education Speakers
Another area we get asked for speakers on is Education.
Working in an educational environment, these speakers can offer insights into the future of education but also provide training, inspiring stories, and practical advice that can be used and transferred to organisations outside the education sector.
These are just a few of the education-related speakers we work with that I hope you will find inspiring

Having left education, Dan Edwards is an actor, comedian, and writer who has devised and written performance work for screen and theatres. He is devising and performing his new show, “The Sound of Muzack”, which will debut at the prestigious Leicester Comedy Festival in February.

He is best selling author, respected thinker, and award-winning speaker, and is always in demand to speak at events across the world.
Richard’s background is in education, most notably as headmaster of the failing Grange Primary School. In just two years, he famously transformed it into one of the most acclaimed learning environments in the world. He was celebrated by UNESCO and the UK Government for its incredible turnaround.
Alex Atherton is an experienced educator, executive coach, and leadership team coach. He worked in education for 25 years, over half of which was spent as a secondary school headteacher in large inner-London comprehensives. On appointment, he was the youngest secondary school head in the country. He has also led a pupil referral unit and has worked with both primary schools and further education.
Alex Atherton runs a leadership development consultancy that supports individual clients and executive teams from a range of industries. He is highly passionate about the value of professional development and in empowering others to overcome their leadership challenges. He specialises in working with senior leaders, supporting them to think big, shatter glass ceilings, achieve beyond their wildest expectations, and work together with impact they did not think possible. Clients include CEOs and leaders from the public, private, and voluntary sectors.

He has over 10 years of teaching experience and has delivered training sessions over the last five years to over 10 thousand people for organisations including the North and Western Chamber of Commerce, the Global Chamber, the FSB, DJH Mitten Clarke, Cooney Carey, the Chartered Insurance Institute and PFS all over the UK as well as internationally for Russell Bedford International.

Maxine has also been involved in a parent body and also covers education by outlining the difficulties of running a small school in an ever-changing and more competitive market. She will talk about the power of a parent body and the steps she took to turn around a school facing closure.

When not accepting challenges and generally being a little bit bonkers she has spent 25 years working in the education sector as a teacher, governor, Managing Director, consultant, and trainer.
