Former Chief Executive of Selfridges & Entrepreneurial Speaker

Peter Williams is a vastly experienced speaker on retail, leadership, and customer service have spent over 30 years in a variety of roles in retail including being CEO of Selfridges.

As well as his role at Selfridges, Peter was CEO of Alpha Airports and served on the boards of ASOS plc, Cineworld Group plc, Sportech plc, Jaeger, Blacks Leisure Group plc, JJB Sports plc, the EMI group, Silverstone, OfficeTeam, to name a few.

He is currently the Chairman of 2 online retailers – boohoo.com plc, and Mister Spex, an eyewear company based in Berlin. He is also Chairman at U and I Group PLC, the leading property regeneration company; Senior Independent Director at Rightmove plc, the UK’s largest property portal and Chairman at DP Eurasia, owner of the Domino’s Pizza franchise in Turkey and Russia.

Peter was on the board of Selfridges for 13 years, initially as Chief Financial Officer and then as Chief Executive, during its transformation from Grace Brothers to one of the world’s leading department stores. During his time at ASOS as Senior Independent Director, sales increased from £33m to £750m, profits from £1m to £55m, and the market value of the company grew from £70m to over £4.5bn.
