David & Carrie Grant are singing coaches, business trainers and speakers on teamwork, change management and leadership

David and Carrie Grant are probably best known as judges and vocal coaches, on TV talent shows, “Pop Idol” (ITV) and the BBC flagship programme “Fame Academy.” They are current judges on BBC 1’s BAFTA Award-winning “Glee Club.”

David and Carrie were approached as singing coaches when they were working with Take That in 1994. This was just the beginning, and soon they were working with the likes of The Spice Girls, Kimberley Wyatt, Will Young, Charlotte Church, Lemar, The Saturdays, Gwyneth Paltrow, Marvin Humes, Demi Lovato to name but a few.

David had been a successful singer with 14 hit singles including the Top 5 duet with Jaki Graham “Could it be I’m falling in love.” Carrie, meanwhile, was one of the UK’s best session singers and had worked with the likes of Diana Ross, Roberta Flack, Rod Stewart, Lighthouse Family to name a few.

David and Carrie are MOBO award winners and have been awarded a BASCA for their lifetime services to the music industry.

Both with TV presenting careers, David on Songs of Praise, and Carrie working on the One Show, David and Carrie have also coached Senior Business Managers for the past 17 years. Using music as their medium, they have coached organisations on how to improve their leadership skills and work better as a team.

SPEAKING TOPICS

Carrie and David take music and use it to bring a fresh approach to leadership and team building. Carrie and David lead their sessions with a great passion for teaching the participants how to sing. While the aim is never to single out or humiliate, the experience is still confrontational but in a positive way. Taking people out of their comfort zones can often lead to cutting through status and conflict issues.

They cover such subjects and themes in their presentations

– Attitudes to Change
– Innovate to Stay ahead of the Game
– Better Communications.
– Teamwork from top to the bottom

They coach from 8 to 1,000 people in either a training setting or an entertainment event.
The programme is specifically geared towards the client’s needs and messages. The delegates are led through a 60-120-minute series of entertaining and challenging song-based exercises.

Even those who are uncertain of their ability or lack the desire to engage find, 20 mins in that they are successfully singing in harmony & counter-melody.
