Rugby World Cup Speakers
The Men’s Rugby World Cup takes place across France from Friday 8th September 2023 to Saturday 28th October 2023. Last time out in 2019 England lost in the final against South Africa 12-32.

A highly respected and popular player for both his club and his country, he captained England on three occasions as well as leading Saracens for two seasons. He also toured with the British & Irish Lions to South Africa in 1997.Kyran retired from the game at the close of the 2005/06 season.

Matt Dawson is currently England’s most capped scrum-half with 77 caps and captaining the side nine times, leading them to win the Six Nations in 2000. He has toured with the British Lions on two occasions and domestically played most of his career with Northampton and London Wasps. Besides Question of Sport, Matt has appeared on Celebrity Masterchef (and won!) and finished runner-up in Strictly Come Dancing. In 2020 Matt announced he was stepping down as one of the captains on Question of Sport.

Sean Fitzpatrick led New Zealand to a series win over the British Lions in 1993 and also led the All Blacks to a clean sweep in the first Tri-Nations tournament in 1996.The Governor General awarded him the New Zealand Order of Merit in 1997. Sean is based in the UK where he is a rugby pundit and newspaper columnist. He has written a number of books, his most recent is Winning Matters.

His International Rugby Career started in 1975 against Ireland, and he went on to make a total of 34 appearances for England. In 1977 he toured with the British Lions in New Zealand and then again in 1980 in South Africa, but this time as Captain. Unfortunately, Sir Bill’s career was cut short due to injury, but got involved in the media and television, becoming a commentator for the BBC and Sky Sports, and probably better known for his role as team captain on Question of Sport opposite Emlyn Hughes.

Will Greenwood is not one to shy away from high-pressure, highly competitive situations. Having started working life on London’s City trading floor he went on to become the second-highest try scorer in English rugby history and helped power England to victory at the Rugby World Cup in 2003. He is widely regarded as one of England’s greatest-ever rugby players, as well as one of the sport’s most engaging, intelligent, and entertaining characters.
