Psychological safety is the belief people will not be punished or humiliated for speaking up with ideas, questions, concerns, or mistakes. In team environments, it is the expectation held by members of that team that teammates will not embarrass, or punish them for sharing ideas, taking risks, or giving feedback.

When present in the workplace, Psychological safety means people feel comfortable bringing their full, and authentic selves to work. Studies have shown that psychological safety can play an important role in workplace effectiveness.

Our September Book of the Month is “Paying it Forward: How to be a Social Entrepreneur” by the co-founder of Social Bite and Inspirational Speaker Josh Littlejohn MBE.

Paying It Forward is part memoir, part manifesto for social entrepreneurship, and part manual for putting purpose ahead of profit. It reveals what social entrepreneurship is and how it can make a difference.

This focus is all about promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion in the workplace, and the theme this year is “Take Action, Make Impact”

We are thrilled to represent Jackie Handy, a true champion of inclusivity. With her lived experience and dynamic speaking style, Jackie will share her insights during either a captivating keynote speech, engaging panel discussion, or inspiring fireside chat.

According to the Oxford Learning Dictionaries website, Mentoring is “the practice of helping and advising a less experienced person over a period of time, especially as part of a formal programme in a company, university, etc.”

We have recently had a few enquiries from clients looking for speakers to come and talk on mentoring and these are some of the speakers we work with that either can talk on the subject or their own mentoring experiences.

Black History Month runs from Sunday 1st October 2023 to Tuesday 31st October 2023 in the UK. The month celebrates the contribution and achievements of black people not just in the UK, but throughout the world with its aim to educate everyone on black history.

According to the Black History Month website, the theme for this year’s event is about celebrating in particular the vital role black women have played in shaping history, inspiring change, and building communities.
