School Sports Speakers
The 24th to 28th June 2019 is National School Sports Week. Now in its 11th year its theme for this year is Five Ways to Wellbeing-
- Being active
- Connecting
- Giving Back
- Taking Notice
- Learning
The aim of the week is to encourage like-minded schools, teachers and parents and young people to join together to show why sport and PE has an essential role to play in every young persons development.
Here at Scamp Speakers we work with a number of former sports stars that have actively worked and spoken at schools before to encourage pupils to get more involved in sport.
Olympic Gold Medallist Tessa Sanderson CBE runs her own sports academy in East London and has spoken at numerous schools discussing the benefits of sport as well as getting involved in sports days herself.
Paralympian Danny Crates has also been active in schools and is often called in to speak at Schools to talk over his sporting journey but also to discuss the physical and mental benefits of excerising and keeping fit.
Olympic Badminton Silver Medallist Gail Emms, former athlete Mark Richardson and current Vice President of UK Athletics, Donna Fraser, who is tasked with overseeing the success of the UK’s current athletes and creating the pathway for the potential world champions of tomorrow, have also spoken at schools and colleges on the role sport can play in young peoples lives.
And it is not just only in schools – Olympic Gold Medallist Sally Gunnell runs a number of Health & Wellbeing programmes for corporate companies to highlight the benefits of sport can have in the workplace.
Outside sport we also work with a number of other school speakers including Richard McCann and Anthony Bennett. Please drop us an email at enquiries@scampspeakers.co.uk if you would like to know more.
