School Speakers

Whilst a lot of our enquiries are corporate-related, we do get requests from schools, colleges, and universities, looking for speakers to come in and speak to their students or staff on inset days.

We are always keen to help out if we can and there are a number of speakers we work with that are happy to consider school requests (subject to availability) and these are just a few examples to bear in mind if you planning such an event.

ANTHONY BENNETT

Anthony Bennett speaker bookingAnthony Bennett is an inspirational speaker and motivational speaker & fundraiser who learned how to walk, talk and speak again after contracting three virus infections at the same time. After what many would consider a miracle, Anthony was given only a 10% chance of survival, but has made a full recovery and is inspiring businesses, schools, and organisations with his optimism and bubbly personality.

With a highly infectious and positive outlook on life, Anthony takes his audience on a crucial journey on how he turned a huge negative situation and used it to fuel positive outward ripples in his daily life.

Anthony was brilliant, truly inspirational, staff really related to him, and shared some remarkable stories. Lots of emotions for many. Bury College

JOHN HOSKISON

John Hoskison speaker bookingJohn Hoskison is a former Professional Golfer and schools speaker whose career was cut short after a drink driving incident saw him sent to prison. In 1976, at the age of seventeen, John became a professional golfer at the RAC Country Club in Epsom. For three years he practiced every hour available and wore out golf clubs, but after thousands of hours of dedicated work he took his tournament players card and qualified to play the European Tour.

In 1994 however, he shattered the life he had forged. On a November evening, he broke a discipline he had maintained for twenty years and accepted a drink after a golf match before driving home. On his journey back he hit and killed a cyclist and was sentenced to three years in prison. In the blink of an eye, everything John knew was shattered.

For the last fifteen years, John Hoskison has tried to make up for what happened. He has spoken at over 200 schools, to over 80,000 children, about the dangers of taking unnecessary risks. He has also attended many conferences about how to improve prison and has spoken to many of the top judges in the country, regularly attending the Judicial Studies Board Seminars.

RICHARD MCCANN

Richard McCann is an inspirational, powerful, and moving motivational speaker, and founder of the ICan Academy designed to help ignite people’s mindsets and allow them to grow, develop and become more successful

Born into poverty on a tough council estate in Leeds, England, he was placed on the “At-risk” register before he could walk and talk. Then, just one week before his sixth birthday, his mother was tragically taken from him when she became the first victim of a man who would go on to become one of Britain’s most notorious serial killers, Peter Sutcliffe.

What followed was foster parents, time in a care home, and then a deprived childhood living with his often violent and drunken father. Richard eventually left school with no qualifications and very little self-esteem. After stumbling from one mistake after another, he fell into petty crime and this led to a stint in the same prison as his mother’s killer! When he was released, he had few prospects and entered a suicide pact with one of his sisters. He had reached his rock bottom.

It was at this point, Richard started to turn his life around and develop an ICan attitude and philosophy that led him to become a Sunday Times No1 Best Selling author whose first book, Just a Boy, made sales of almost half a million in the UK alone and was translated into more than 10 different languages.
