This week we celebrate our second anniversary since the launch of Scamp Speakers and I just wanted to say a huge thank you to all of the speakers who have worked with us and all of the clients that have booked with us during this time and hopefully finally look forward to the return of live events later in the year.

Hosted by the Mental Health Foundation, Monday 10th May 2021 to Sunday 16th May 2021 is Mental Health Awareness Week. Whilst its theme for this year is Nature & Environment, and looking at the benefits nature can bring to our mental health it is also an opportunity for people to talk about all aspects of mental health. If you are looking to host an event that week these are some of the speakers we work with who could be of interest.

Thank you to everyone who has worked with us in March this year. It has been a relief to see our children return to school and wonderful to see so many people marking International Women’s Day this year. Our March Speaker News features feedbacks from some recent events including Anj Handa, Matt Ellison, and Clarke Carlisle, and we have some new showreels including Phil Olley’s and Katherine Baker, as well as welcoming David Schneider & Leila McKenzie to the website.

If you are starting to think about “a return to the office” and what that may look like leading voice technology expert and speaker on the Future of Work, James Poulter has developed a new speech entitled “CTRL-ALT-DEL” aimed at addressing this specific subject and what companies will need to do keep continue to build a culture of innovation.

Our March 2021 Book of the Month is Stephen Harvill’s book “21 Secrets of Million-Dollar Sellers” In this book, Fortune 50 consultant Stephen Harvill reveals the secrets of the world’s best salespeople who earn at least one million dollars a year.

Since the start of the recent pandemic, we have all had to adjust to the new way of working – both online and from home. A recurring theme that has come up in recent requests for speakers is for someone to speak around Imposter Syndrome. Author of the Nexus Code and speaker on Imposter Syndrome, Phil Olley, offers some insights and thoughts on the subject for us.

As we approach the end of the month and the evening hopefully getting a little lighter, this is our February 2021 Speaker news update.
