We Are Three
April 2022 marks the 3rd Anniversary of Scamp Speakers. I could not quite have imagined what a roller-coaster it would have been when after nearly one year of trading the pandemic hit, live events stopped, and slowly the speaking events moved to online talks. Thank you to all the clients that have worked with us in the past year and to all the speakers who have spoken at events for us.

Mental Health Awareness Week 2022
Hosted by the Mental Health Foundation, Mental Health Awareness Week takes place this year between the 9th and the 15th of May 2022. The week aims to try and focus on achieving good mental health and this year’s main topic is loneliness. With many people working remotely now and feeling more isolated due to the pandemic, the foundation will be raising awareness of the impact of loneliness on our mental health and the ways we can take to address it. If you are planning an event to mark this week, these are some of the speakers we would recommend, not just covering loneliness but mental health in general.
Burnout
Throughout her career in business management and psychology, Dr. Marie-Hélène Pelletier has spearheaded a national dialogue on the crucial issues of leadership resilience and workplace health and delivers a number of talks in this field including her talk on “Front line mental agility: Preventing and managing compassion fatigue and burnout” She has kindly allowed us to publish this short article she has written on burnout.
Metaverse Speaker
From time to time a new topic starts to filter into enquiries, and in recent months we have started to receive a few requests around the Metaverse. The metaverse is defined in the Oxford English Dictionary as a “virtual-reality space in which users can interact with a computer-generated environment and other users.” But this does not answer a lot of our questions and how it might impact businesses. James Poulter is the founder and CEO of Vixen Labs one of the UK’s leading Voice Technology companies and is a thought-leader and speaker on Innovation Culture, the Future of Work, and Emerging Technologies. His most recent speech helps cover just that question.
