Trust is very important in every business. At Scamp Speakers want to build trust with our clients and also have to have trust in the speakers we work with that they will deliver the right content for each brief. In October 2022, Darren Edwards is attempting to become the first person with a disability to complete the grueling World Marathon Challenge (7 marathons, 7 days, 7 continents) unsupported and in a wheelchair. This is our August Speaker News Round up – this month we have feedback on recent events for Anthony Bennett and Josh Littlejohn; an updated biog from Katherine Baker; a new showreel from Owen O’Kane; we welcome Matt O’Neill and Kaitlin Zhang to the website, and lastly going on tour, Anthony Bennett and Nick Smethhurst hit the road!

With the football returning it seems appropriate that our book of the month for August is “Edge: Leadership Secrets From Football’s Top Thinkers” by football journalist and keynote speaker Ben Lyttleton.

We are delighted to welcome three new speakers to our website – Andy Budd, an internationally renowned designer, turned tech investor; Pam Burrows, a People Booster and an inspirational speaker that speaks on managing stress, avoiding burnout, and creating a wellbeing culture and Dan Edwards a former Headteacher and Leadership Speaker who held leadership roles in both the secondary and primary sector, and is now repositioning doughnuts!

Whilst the summer is traditionally a time when fewer corporate events are taking place, it also happens to be a time when many start (or continue) their planning for their Autumn events. From annual conferences, awards events, and Christmas parties, September onwards has always been a busy time of year. If you are planning for the Autumn and looking for some speakers for your events here are some areas we can help in.

Founded by Inclusive Employers, National Inclusion Week will run from the 26th of September to the 2nd of October 2022. The week is designed to celebrate inclusion and promote inclusive workplaces. Now in its 10th year, its theme this year is “Time to Act: The Power of Now”. If you are planning an event to mark that week, these are a few suggestions of speakers we would recommend.
