Speaker Workshops
It would be fair to say that a vast majority of our bookings are for speakers to deliver a keynote speech (normally 45mins to 1 hour with Q/A). However, some clients look for speakers to deliver longer sessions and workshops for smaller groups.
Many of the speakers we work with can offer sessions ranging from 2 hours to half-day to full-day workshops. Below is just a handful of ideas of speakers that offer such sessions, but please do drop us a line at enquiries@scampspeakers.co.uk and we can suggest further ideas if needed.
Communication Frustration
A few weeks ago I was overcharged for something on my account and a monthly payment was taken twice. In an attempt to get the money back, I was told to contact the accounts department only to be told – “I am afraid our accounts department does not have a phone number so you can only email them.” It took a week to get a reply.
I am sure there are various reasons why there is a reluctance to give out numbers but the lack of communication frustrates me.
So purely on a selfish basis, if you looking to improve your communications (be it to improve customer service or to help with confidence) there are a few speakers we can suggest.
Taming Tigers By Jim Lawless
Our book of the month for May is “Taming Tigers: Do things you never thought you could” by record-breaking freediver and motivational speaker Jim Lawless.
One of our favourite speaker books, Jim was voted number 1 Motivational Speaker outside of the US in the Global Guru rankings and has inspired over a million people on five continents through his speeches alone.
Mike Southon Beermat Alchemist
We are delighted to announce that we are now representing the Beermat Alchemist and speaker Mike Southon for his speaking engagements. Mike Southon is a mentor, best-selling author, and keynote speaker on sales, business growth, creativity, and entrepreneurship. Mike brings the magic of entrepreneurship and enterprise to all sizes of organisation, in every type of industry.
He is also an expert on the Beatles and his keynote speech “Something About the Beatles” uses the Beatles as an example of how to overcome challenges, how to innovate, and be more creative.
Matt Ellison – Inspirational Pride Speaker
June 2023 is Pride Month and we often get asked to supply speakers for events organised by companies that wish to mark the month. One of those speakers is Matt Ellison. A transgender man, and a speaker on diversity, inclusion and the importance of allyship, Matt is no stranger to Pride Month.
From marching at Pride as co-chair of FTM London – a female-to-male transition support organisation – to working as a Pride speaker for such organisations as Microsoft, Disney, Rolls Royce, eBay, Henkel, 38 degrees, Nest Corporation, Pod Point, Actis, Beacon, Q4 and Portman Dental Care to name just a few.
Out of the Office
“I am out of the office on annual leave today and will be back at my desk tomorrow. Emails will be checked from time to time but I apologise for any delays in replies. If the matter is urgent you can try my mobile.”
Despite saying they are on annual leave, emails will be checked and they can still be called. Whilst many people do actually completely switch off and take time out, some of us (me included sometimes) cannot seem to let go and switch off.
The work/life balance is becoming increasingly important for our mental health and these are just a few speakers we work with who cover that balance within their talks.
Phil Olley Virtual Talks
Whilst live-in person events have now very much returned since the pandemic, there is still demand from companies wishing to run their events virtually, where attendees are in various location.
Working in tandem with Noisegate Studios in Leamington Spa, Inspirational Speaker on Performance Phil Olley, can provide a full keynote conference speaking package that ensures delegates are fully engaged and the sessions are highly interactive.
