Our Book of the Month for July is “Taking the Anxiety out of AI: Humans, Jobs and Economies in the Age of Artificial Intelligence” by speaker Sameer Rawjee.

As AI becomes more widespread in the workplace and in society, what impact will it have on your job, your life, and the world around you?

If AI can take on more and more of the tasks people perform at work — and do them more efficiently — where does that leave human beings? Taking the Anxiety out of AI explores the nature of human intelligence vs. artificial intelligence.

Social mobility refers to the ability of an individual or a family to move up or down the social and economic ladder within a society and within the workplace this refers to an individual’s ability to move upward or downward within the hierarchy or structure of a company or organisation.

We work with a few speakers that speak on social mobility and what companies can do fulfil their social and moral responsibility to ensure that everyone has a fair chance to succeed, regardless of their background.

As we enter the summer months, many of us will be taking a well-deserved break and recharging after a busy first six or seven months of the year.

However, you might also be using this time to start planning your Autumn events. Traditionally September to early December can be a busy time for events and with a number of awareness months/days too, many of you might be looking for speakers for those events.

With that in mind, these are a few areas we can help you with if you are looking for a speaker for your event in the latter part of the year.

National Inclusion Week takes place in 2025 from the 15th to the 21st September and is a yearly event that is dedicated to celebrating inclusion and taking action to build inclusive workplaces.

Established by Inclusive Employers, this week aims to raise awareness about the importance of inclusion and diversity, encouraging organisations and individuals to take meaningful actions towards creating more inclusive environments where everyone feels valued and respected. The week is a great opportunity to discuss intersectional issues and across all communities – across gender, race, religion, LGBTQ+, disabilities, carers and social mobility.

More than that, Paula uses her adventure experience and Masters Degree in Applied Positive Psychology to help organisations survive, cope, and thrive in uncertain and challenging conditions via her Adventure Psychology talks.

I first started working with Paula back in 2008 and its always been a pleasure to work with her over the years. She very kindly answered a few questions for our Speaker Focus this month.
