National Inclusion Week 2025 Speakers

National Inclusion Week 2025 Speakers

National Inclusion Week takes place in 2025 from the 15th to the 21st September and is a yearly event that is dedicated to celebrating inclusion and taking action to build inclusive workplaces.

Established by Inclusive Employers, this week aims to raise awareness about the importance of inclusion and diversity, encouraging organisations and individuals to take meaningful actions towards creating more inclusive environments where everyone feels valued and respected. The week is a great opportunity to discuss intersectional issues and across all communities – across gender, race, religion, LGBTQ+, disabilities, carers and social mobility.

If you planning an event that week these are a few speakers we would recommend.

ANJ HANDA

Anj Handa is the Founder of Inspiring Women Changemakers, an inclusive community of changemakers who stand for fairness and safety for women. Recognised in Forbes as one of the ‘10 Diversity & Inclusion Trailblazers You Need to Get Familiar With’. Anj is a keynote speaker and an authority on Good Governance and Inclusive Leadership.

Her focus is on creating inclusive cultures and positive social change: how to get and keep people engaged with your organisation’s mission.

In her talks, Anj draws on her own experiences when speaking about diversity, equity, and inclusion in leadership and governance, covering little-explored themes such as psychological safety, emotional correctness, and healthy boundaries.

ANNE WAFULA STRIKE

Anne Wafula Strike, MBE PLY, is an inspirational and motivational speaker on overcoming adversity, diversity, inclusion and disability awareness.

Born in Mihu, Kenya, to Nekesa Ruth and Athumani Wafula, Anne was a fit and healthy child before polio struck when she was two years old. She was given the middle name of Olympia at birth, a title of prophetic significance for the future and prescient of hurdles she would face in forthcoming years.

After completing A-levels and graduating from Moi University with a Bachelor of Education degree, Anne taught at Machakos Technical College in Kenya before meeting the man she would marry – which lead her to Britain, motherhood, wheelchair racing, disability advocacy and charity work.

JACKIE HANDY

Jackie Handy is a workforce culture specialist and speaker with over two decades of professional experience in executive recruitment, leadership development, and inclusion best practice. Her mission is simple: to ensure people feel safe, valued, and understood at work.

Since delivering her 2018 TEDx talk, The Exclusive Nature of Inclusion, Jackie has been sharing her personal story of exclusion and working with organisations across a variety of sectors, helping them create more inclusive workplaces.

In 2023, to help her cope with her mother’s declining dementia condition, she walked the first of three Camino de Santiago routes, a 500-mile hike across northwest Spain. The transformative lessons learned on that journey, combined with Jackie’s professional expertise, led to the creation of the ‘A-Frame Concept’. A complete methodology to improve team connection, increase inclusion and belonging, and create happier, more resilient teams.
