Motivational Mondays
Continuing our theme of a fresh start, we wanted to take this opportunity to provide a short case study into a series of events organised by a client we worked with over the past few years. Always looking to innovate, we have been very privileged to have worked with BigChange over the past 3 years on their wonderful Motivational Monday events
One of the first companies we worked with when we set up the company was BigChange. Founded by Entrepreneur Martin Port, BigChange is an award-winning Mobile Workforce Management Platform (www.bigchange.com), and to help inspire his colleagues Martin asked us to help source a speaker to come into his office in Leeds and talk to his people.
Simon Weston CBE (pictured) came and spoke to the staff and such was the success, Martin decided to run the event again the next month and Eddie the Eagle Edwards came to speak and their Motivational Monday was born.
With the desire to inspire his team and kick start the month with a bang, Nic Hamilton, Clarke Carlisle, and Kevin Keegan were a few of the names that all came to speak to the team.
When the pandemic hit, rather than putting a hold on the events, Martin and his team decided to move the event online and for the first Monday of every month did Motivational Monday online and opened up to their client based and not just their team. This time each event was associated with a different charity, and over the last year speakers such as JJ Chalmers, Benjamin Mee (pictured), Janet Street Porter, and Tracey Neville were just a few of the names that spoke at the event.
A special thanks from everyone at Scamp Speakers to everyone at BigChange for working with us during such a difficult time.
If you ever thinking of a way to inspire your staff or clients to kick off the month, a motivational Monday might be the perfect way to do so. Please do drop us a line on enquiries@scampspeakers.co.uk if you looking for some ideas.
NB. Living Potential Care Farm based in Leeds helps support people with disabilities to connect with nature, and during the pandemic Joseph Port set up his own venture to raise money for the farm by selling t-shirts.
