Business Economist & Keynote Speaker

Tim Harford is a senior columnist for the Financial Times, known as the “The Undercover Economist,” and is a speaker on finance and the economy.

Tim is also author and broadcaster, whose books include “The Undercover Economist,” “The Logic of Life,“ “Dear Undercover Economist,“ “Adapt,“ “The Undercover Economist Strikes Back,“ “Messy” and most recently “50 Things That Made the Modern Economy“.

Two of his podcasts “More or Less” and “50 Things that Made the Modern Economy”, where voted by the London Times as among the world’s best ten podcasts.

Tim was the first Peter Martin Fellow at the Financial Times and was a member of the Financial Times editorial board from 2006-2009. He previously worked for Shell and for the World Bank.
