Editor of UK Edition of Elle
Farrah Storr is a keynote and inspirational speaker on leadership, motivation, diversity, media, press relation and women as leaders and is the Editor of the UK Edition of Elle Magazine and former editor-in-chief of Cosmopolitan.
Farrah took over the Cosmopolitan brand in 2015, and led the magazine through a dramatic new look leading to the magazine becoming the best-selling young women’s title in the UK and increasing circulation by an unprecedented 59%.
Before this Farrah launched Women’s Health in the UK, where under her leadership it became the most successful women’s magazine launch of the decade, Farrah has held high profile positions at many of the UK’s and Australia’s glossy women’s magazines including features director at Marie Claire in Sydney and Glamour UK.
In April 2018 she delivered a TEDx talk entitled The Discomfort Zone, a title shared with her first non-fiction book on fearlessness (The Discomfort Zone: How To Get What You Want by Living Fearlessly). In April 2019 Farrah moved from Cosmopolitan to the sister magazine Elle, where he holds the same role.
She is regularly featured as a commentator on TV, has been a mentor on Britain’s Next Top Model for the last three years and is on the media advisory board for All Bright, the female business network that provided funding for female founders in the UK. Farrah is also a judge for the prestigious George Orwell Foundation’s Orwell Prize for investigative journalism.
In 2017 Farrah was named as one of only 36 BAME leaders in the UK. Of the 1,049 most influential people in Britain, just 36 are from ethnic minorities – and Farrah is one of only seven women. In 2018, Farrah was named ‘Editor of the Year’ at the PPA Awards and The Magazine Editor’s Awards. She is included on The Drums Best 50 Female Speakers in the UK list.
In 2019 Farah moved from Cosmpolitan magazine to the sister magazine Elle, holding the same role as editor in chief.
