As an Army officer Chris proved his leadership capability in the toughest conditions and his team developed a new mobility equipment for the British Army now used on operations. After leaving the Army he held senior positions within complex global players such as UBS, HSBC and KPMG and also senior public sector roles within organisations such as London Underground, UK National Health Service, Local Government.
At UBS, Chris led the creation of a new entrepreneurial leadership culture amongst the bank’s top 500 leaders to support the leading edge UBS transformation strategy to create “One Firm”. Such was the success that this is now the Harvard Business School Case Study “UBS: Towards the Integrated Firm”.
Now as Hon Visiting Professor of Transformational Leadership at Cass Business School in London, Chris engages audiences via speaking and Masterclasses to show leaders how their own experience, combined with his ideas, can genuinely transform both personal and organisational performance by unleashing their hidden potential. He also helps leaders achieve this via coaching and mentoring. His first book on leadership was translated into 11 languages, and his follow up book in 2014 “Lead to Succeed” has been used as a handbook for leaders around the world.
