Chris Britton – Author, podcast host, police officer and appreciation expert.

Chris Britton is a forward thinking thought leader, author and speaker on appreciation and empathy.

Chris Britton is the Group People Experience Director at one of the largest technology companies in the world, leading people experience across 44 countries and 12,000 employees, but it’s his work outside the boardroom that has made him one of the UK’s most distinctive voices on workplace culture, men’s health and decision-making.

Chris has been named on HR magazine’s Most Influential list for 2026, recognising his forward thinking thought leadership in the world of work and why creating a culture of true employee appreciation is key to driving higher business performance and keeping your best talent.

His best selling book, Behind the I’m Fine: The Truth About Modern Day Masculinity, grew out of his own experience with post-natal depression and identity struggles after the birth of his first daughter and Chris now openly shares his journey with other men on areas including purpose, grief and fatherhood.

Chris brings a third, equally rare specialism: decision-making under pressure. Chris is a professional football referee and as a serving Special Constable with Sussex Police. For over a decade, he has used the UK Police National Decision Model in real high-stakes situations including high profile violent crimes. He has adapted it into the Corporate Leadership Decision Model. This five-stage framework for business leaders and managers is complete with tools like the 70% Rule, the Front-Page Test, and the Survivor’s Question.

Using a mix of stats, deeply personal stories, and real life application, Chris inspires his audiences to take action long after he leaves the stage and helps solve real business problems.
