National Prosecco Day

National Prosecco Day

Tuesday 13th August 2019 marks National Prosecco Day and according to the National Day Calendar Website the best way to observe this is by simply as picking up a couple of bottles of Prosecco, inviting some friends over and savouring summer’s end and to share on social media with #NationalProseccoDay.

In 2016, when Italy recorded a bumper harvest, Britain became the world’s biggest consumer of the drink with approx. 35.8 million gallons sold in the UK in 2017.

Champagne and Prosecco are often associated with celebrations, and September to early December marks a very busy time in the event calendar when many glasses of fizz will be drunk toasting the winners of the numerous awards events which take place during this time.

Whilst many of the speakers we book tend to speak at conference and exhibitions, we do book speakers to host awards events too. Here are some ideas of possible hosts for your awards if you planning something this autumn/winter time –

News Presenters – Always considered a safe pair of hands, we work with a number of news presenters that are experienced at live event work. Louise Minchin is not only popular conference host and facilitator but excellent and experienced awards host. We also work with former GMTV presenter Helen Fospero and Katie Derham who again bring huge warmth to the stage when asked to host awards.

Business Raconteur – If you looking for someone with more of a business/media background, the likes of Andrew Neil, Digby Jones, and Alastair Campbell can all deliver an entertaining speech and host awards.

Inspirational Host – If you looking to inspire the audience and have a speaker who can relate their story to the great achievements of your award winners you could look to work with a motivational speaker to host your awards. Simon Weston CBE, Ben Fogle, Sir Ranulph Fiennes, and Katie Piper are just a few recognisable speakers that have hosted awards events before.

Sporting Hosts. – There is also number of entertaining and inspiring sporting speakers that have hosted awards events before. Former England Rugby player and captain on Question of Sport, Matt Dawson, Paralympian Dame Tanni Grey Thompson and former athlete Roger Black could be perfect for any awards planned.

(We can also help supply comedians for your events too if required)

If you planning any awards events and need any ideas please do drop us a line on enquiries@scampspeakers.co.uk and we will be delighted to help further. We hope in the meantime you enjoy a drop of Prosecco on the 13th of August.
