Inspirational School Speakers

Over the course of the year, we often get asked my schools and educational institutes to help supply a speaker for one of their events.

These vary from inset days, annual awards presentations to sixth form lectures. We work with a number of speakers that deliver talks in schools, but these are a few of more popular ones and some of the subject areas they cover.

ANTHONY BENNETT

Anthony Bennett is an inspirational speaker and motivational speaker & fundraiser who learned how to walk, talk and speak again after contracting three virus infections at the same time.After what many would consider being a miracle, Anthony was given only a 10% chance or survival, but has made a full recovery and is inspiring businesses, schools, and organisations with his optimism and bubbly personality.

After making a full recovery, Anthony played a major role in winning a £7.5m Charity Partnership between Whitbread PLC and Great Ormond Street Hospital Children’s Charity, where he spent 4 years traveling the UK and Inspiring teams to get involved in raising the much-needed funds for the children’s charity.

JOHN HOSKISON

John Hoskison speaker bookingJohn Hoskison is a former Professional Golfer and schools speaker whose career was cut short after a drink driving incident saw him sent to prison. In 1976, at the age of seventeen, John became a professional golfer at the RAC Country Club in Epsom. For three years he practiced every hour available and wore out golf clubs, but after thousands of hours of dedicated work he took his tournament players card and qualified to play the European Tour.

In 1994 however, he shattered the life he had forged. On a November evening, he broke a discipline he had maintained for twenty years and accepted a drink after a golf match before driving home. On his journey back he hit and killed a cyclist and was sentenced to three years in prison. In the blink of an eye, everything John knew was shattered.For the last fifteen years, John Hoskison has tried to make up for what happened. He has spoken at over 200 schools, to over 80,000 children, about the dangers of taking unnecessary risks.

KATY ASHWORTH

Katy Ashworth is an Actress, TV presenter and Singer and keynote speaker on children’s mental health and importance of play

She has been a household name in the UK and worldwide for appearing on the BAFTA award winning children’s tv channel CBeebies since 2009 as the host of I Can Cook, presenting daily links in the CBeebies House, appearances on Justin’s House, Blue Peter, CBeebies Proms and multiple CBeebies Christmas shows including Aladdin and Strictly Cinderella.  On stage Katy Ashworth has toured with multiple CBeebies Live! arena tours as well performing for families worldwide from Glastonbury Festival to South Africa with her one woman comedy shows including Back to the Disco, Katy’s Family Fun Show, Time with Katy, Katy’s Roadshow and I Can Cook Live!

More recently she has been speaking in schools about coercive behaviour and healthy relationships off the back of her own personal experience of domestic abuse. She also delivers talks to young people and parents on resilience.

MICHAEL MAISEY

Michael Maisey is a NonProfit Founder, Author, Mentor and an inspirational speaker on how change is possible and the importance of empathy and kindness.

Michael Maisey has built a career on kindness, overcoming adversity and healthy masculinity. He knows that if these concepts are introduced, they can bring about life changing results and lead to a more purposeful life. He is passionate about social responsibility in business and applauds all companies who embrace it.

Michael survived a turbulent and traumatic childhood that resulted in him joining a gang and eventually being imprisoned at sixteen. Reformed and humbled by the acts of kindness he experienced following his prison sentence, Michael embarked on an exhaustive journey of self development determined to change his life. In 2012 he set up a successful business in his home town in London. His company was founded on the principles of honesty and integrity. Not only did he earn the respect of his clients and employees but also the locals in the community.

GEORGE KING

George King, is an inspirational speaker, widely recognised as The Shard Climber,  a young pioneer in the world of extreme sports and urban free climbing His most talked-about achievement was scaling London’s iconic Shard in 2019 at the age of just 19, a stunt that catapulted him into the global spotlight.

George King BASE jumps from the buildings he climbs, using a parachute to descend safely to the ground. He has also climbed the Lotte Tower in Seoul, South Korea, and the Stratosphere Tower in London, Copenhill, and Copenhagen, Denmark.
