I am sure we have all had a moment of panic and experience a “fight or flight” response to stress or a problem you feel you cannot solve. However, according to verywellmind.com the response can also be helpful and by priming your body for action, you are better prepared to perform under pressure.

However there are ways to help calm down after it kicks in and we work with a number of speakers who speak on stress and anxiety and either talk on their own lived experiences or from an academic/medical perspective.

OWEN O’KANE

OwenOKaneOwen O’Kane is a psychotherapist, speaker and author of the globally acclaimed book, ‘Ten To Zen’.

He has over 25 years experience in the mental health sector and is a former NHS Mental Health Clinical lead, who now runs a successful private practice in London.

Owen’s experiences have provided him with the necessary skills to analyse any mental, emotional or stress related issue with the utmost efficiency. He believes that a great mind warrants unprecedented improvements for every aspect of daily working life.

SUE FIRTH

Sue Firth is a business psychologist, stress expert and a leading authority on ‘stress and managing change’. She is also a specialist in helping CEOs and senior executives manage stress, from an individual and group perspective. As an international speaker and presenter Sue regularly appears in the media and has featured as a guest expert on ITV’s This Morning and BBC Panorama.

Pam Burrows has been helping leaders and teams stress less and perform better for over 30 years, both locally and internationally. Having previously travelled globally delivering researched behaviour change strategies to blue chip companies, Pam was awarded a European Health and Safety award for reducing stress in the workplace by one of her key customers.

Pam Burrows is a qualified Nursery Nurse, Social Worker and a Master Practitioner in Neurolinguistic Programming (NLP) and blends this range of knowledge with techniques that empower positive behaviour change and boost wellbeing.
