Her groundbreaking research on Post traumatic Growth has been published in the peer-reviewed British Journal of Health Psychology. Amrita was awarded the University of East London Alumni Diversity Award 2024 for her contributions to fostering positive conversations and change in the DEI space.

Recognised as an expert in her field, Amrita has made appearances on BBC News, is a featured guest on several podcasts. Amrita served as the Co-Chair of the Disabled Doctors Network and is committed to fostering positive discussions on discrimination and, actively advocates for the inclusion of doctors with chronic illness or disability within the medical profession. Amrita is a seasoned speaker and has offered her expertise at Conferences such as the National Guardian Freedom To Speak Up Conference, General Medical Council Symposium, Royal College of General Practitioners, NHS Disability Summit and at International Academic Conferences. Later this year, Amrita will be speaking at the Positive Psychology Summit at the prestigious County Hall in London.

Amrita received awards for her service and dedication to supporting the wellbeing of frontline healthcare workers during the pandemic by The University of East London, The Royal College of General Practitioners and by the GP magazine Pulse.
