Entrepreneur, Founder of Death Cigarettes and Keynote Speaker

BJ Cunningham is a serial entrepreneur, often best known for Death Cigarettes, and is a charismatic speaker on branding, customer loyalty, and power of provocation

BJ first venture as an entrepreneur was when he was still a teenager, and he started importing classic cars and Harley Davidsons from the USA to London. However, success was short lived when the market collapsed, and BJ lost everything.

His next move was to launch DEATH Cigarettes – positioning it as ‘the honest smoke.’ Gaining a foothold, he found himself taking on the tobacco industry and the European Court of Justice.

Known for challenging the establishment, BJ sent up an Integrated Brand Marketing agency, where he won clients such as diverse as Volkswagen, Canon, Fairline Boats, Korn Ferry and Red Devil, and successfully sold the Agency after three years, in 2001.

He and his wife then launched the highly acclaimed Georgina Goodman brand of shoes and accessories from their flagship store in the heart of Mayfair. The brand has attracted celebrity clients and seen profits grow of over 50% per annum – a fantastic achievement for an unknown designer.

BJ is a council member of Business Superbrands.
