Breast Cancer Awareness Speakers
October each year marks Breast Cancer Awareness Month. The international health campaign, aims to promote screening and reduce the risk of the disease, which affects 2.3 million women worldwide. Breast Cancer Now also holds its “Wear it Pink Day” on Friday 23rd October 2026, encouraging people to where pink for the day and fundraise to support research and care.
If you are looking to plan an event around this campaign these are the few of the speakers we work with who share their experiences of breast cancer.

Emma has over 66,000 followers on Instagream where she shares aspects of the incredible journey she’s been on as a long term cancer survivor, single mum of teenage triplets and so much more. She is known for her honesty, vulnerability and open hearted approach to life and passionately believes that we all have limitless potential despite the challenges we may face. She offers hope to thousands of women in the breast cancer community who are all at different points in their cancer experiences and has learnt to celebrate a body that has been through so much whilst excepting that she will remain on cancer treatment for life.

Donna started her career in athletics by winning six consecutive English Schools 200m titles and a European Junior 400m gold medal. With the support of Croydon Harriers AC, she went professional in 1996. Donna’s athletics career spans back over a decade and has an amazing story to share on and off the track. She made a smooth transition in the Senior Athletics arena where she went on to compete for her country on numerous occasions and earned recognition as a serious World Class athlete when she came 4th at the Syndey 2000 Olympic Games, breaking the 50 second barrier for the first time.
Donna Fraser had one of her best years in 2005, where she achieved a fine 200/m400m double at the AAA Championships and was the first athlete to do so since 1945. In 2002, 2005 and 2007 she helped Britain to 4x400m relay bronze in the World Championships and became the BBC Athlete of the Year in 2005.
In 2009 Donna Fraser was forced to retire from the world of athletics due to her being diagnosed with breast cancer; in that same year, she made a life-changing decision to undertake a mastectomy. With the 2012 Olympic Games being held in London, Donna Fraser’s passion to inspire others, drove her to return to the track in 2012.

When she’s not undertaking record-breaking endurance achievements (often dressed in thoughtfully chosen costumes to raise a smile and start conversations around mental health), Sally is the focus of inspirational speaking engagements, attended by audiences of all ages at a variety of events, including at Buckingham Palace and Horse Guards Parade, and has featured in the media numerous times. Everyone is captivated by the modest, engaging and approachable way she shares the mental health and resilience learnings she has gathered from a career in the British Army and decades of volunteering and undertaking gruelling physical challenges all over the world.
Sally is the only person to complete a marathon on every continent dressed as different pieces of fruit. She has completed 8 full Ironman triathlons and the ‘Escape from Alcatraz’ triathlon, which included swimming across the treacherous waters around the infamous prison. Sally did this dressed in a convict costume to symbolise the way mental illness can make people feel like a prisoner in their own mind.
Sally was diagnosed with Breast Cancer in 2025 and ran the 2026 London Marathon dressed as a giant breast just six weeks after finishing active breast cancer treatment to raise funds and awareness.
