Hilary Devey is the CEO and Chairman of Pall-Ex, the UK’s leading palletised freight distribution network, and is an inspirational role model for entrepreneurs.
Having started from nothing, she has grown the company into an international network with a combined turnover of over £100m. Pall-Ex makes daily deliveries to every UK postcode as well as operating scheduled regular service to 38 European countries with further current expansion planned across Europe.
Hilary has also made investments in Duvalay, Pronto Couriers and Wow Table Art.
She came more focused in the public eye when she became one of the Dragons on the BBC2 show Dragons Den. Hilary Devey was chosen due to her experience, as a businesswoman with a proven track record and wealth of knowledge. As well as having the expertise needed to scrutinise fledgling entrepreneurs when they enter the Den, Hilary worked with Peter Jones, Theo Paphitis, Duncan Bannatyne, and Deborah Meaden.
Her other television appearances include the Intern, Women at the Top, Hotel GB, The Business Inspector, and the Secret Millionaire. She also appeared on Running the Shop, a groundbreaking three-episode series that sees Hilary persuade bosses from companies around Britain to leave their business for three weeks and let the staff run the shop instead.
