November Book of the Month
Our November Book of the Month is the new book by motivational speaker Nigel Risner –“Zoo Keeper Rules For The Office”.
Nigel Risner has been speaking for over 20 years and is a leadership specialist and business speaker on peak performance. Respected by his fellow professionals, he is the former president of the London Chapter of Professional Speakers Association, and has been voted Speaker of the year by the Academy of Chief Executives, and is a Companion of the Institute of Sales and Marketing Management.
Author of “Its a Zoo Around Here”: New Rules for Better Communication” and “The Impact Code“, Nigel’s new book helps businesses to learn how to master being an effective Zoo Keeper in their own zoo of a workplace.
As Nigel explains, being an effective leader pivots on the ability to understand the personalities that make up a team and how to communicate with them. Everyone is dominated by certain personality traits and Nigel has likened these to four animal types. We are all a little bit of everything but each of us is driven to follow our instincts and give in to the animal within.
Over 2 million people have read, seen or heard Nigel present the Zoo Rules of Communication and his new book develops his theories further and helps companies to develop effective leadership and communication skills for their workplace.
“I was excited to read this latest instalment in the series. The Zoo Keeper Rules for the Office does not disappoint. Succinct, insightful and inspiring. This is the missing piece in the world of leadership and communication texts” – Barbara Smith CEO, Edinburgh Zoo.
Scamp Speakers Comments –
“We really enjoyed the Zoo Keeper Rules For the Office. It is a wonderful easy, yet addictive, book to read, and you get drawn in to trying to work out not only what type of animal you are but what type of animal your colleagues are. But much more than that, it really strikes at the heart of how to understand you work force, what their needs are, and how you can work in greater harmony together. It is a book you will go back to time and time again.”
