Men’s Mental Health Speakers
In the UK Mens Mental Health Awareness month is officially recognised in November and its focus is to break the stigma around emotional struggles, and address high suicide rates and encourage men to talk openly
If you are looking to plan an event around this, these are a few speakers that cover mens mental health along with other subjects supporting men.

Stephen Whitton is the Founder of [M]enable – the global movement for mental health support in the Automotive Sector. After a successful career spanning 35 years in the industry, with numerous roles from Salesman to Executive Director, he is a renowned authority on employee well-being to achieve results.
[M]enable was created on the back of Stephen’s own struggles, with a clear purpose and mission – to change cultures in male dominated and performance driven businesses, enabling the Mental Health stigma to be removed. Wanting leaders to embrace the ethos that when people feel good about themselves, they perform better, Stephen’s mantra is “positive employee outcomes = positive customer outcomes = positive business outcomes”.

Andrew Pain is a Motivational Mental Health speaker, a survivor of domestic violence (in a former marriage) and podcaster. Andrew delivers keynote talks on men’s mental health, burnout, how to build thriving communities in the workplace and imposter syndrome.
His podcast, Men on Show, celebrates the stories of heroic men, also exploring their views on the challenges of modern masculinity, why men and boys are struggling and how to create healthy generations of young men.
Andrew Pain was once a master-procrastinator, chronic worrier and victim of an abusive marriage. He was a people-pleaser, he avoided conflict at all costs and his main goal in life was simply for everyone else to be happy: not exactly the kind of CV you might expect to see for a professional speaker!

Tom and Dan met after a viral clip of Tom speaking candidly about masculinity and emotional openness – from his appearance on Netflix’s Love Is Blind – landed in Dan’s inbox.
A coffee between two strangers turned into a fortnightly walk-and-talk, which has since grown into a nationally-recognised community running 30+ events a month, press coverage in the Times, Independent, Cosmopolitan and BBC Radio 4, and millions of views on social media, in less than two years.
Both Tom and Dan draw on deeply personal stories: Tom’s complicated, unresolved relationship with an absent father, and Dan’s experience of his father’s six-month hospitalisation for severe depression and psychosis. Their fathers’ shared struggle with a lack of connection and purpose is a core part of the reason Shoulder to Shoulder exists today.
Shoulder to Shoulder has been described as ‘the modern men’s club fighting loneliness’ by the Independent and the ‘anti-manosphere community’ by the Times.

With years of experience responding to unpredictable situations, Rob has developed a deep understanding of how individuals and organisations can thrive in the midst of uncertainty. His unique perspective stems from his time on the front lines of policing, where no two situations were the same, and quick thinking, adaptability, and resilience were essential.
Rob’s talks focus on the key principles of managing change and building resilience, helping teams develop the skills needed to remain adaptable, calm, and solution-oriented when faced with challenges. Drawing from real-life, high-stakes incidents, he translates powerful frontline lessons into practical tools that businesses can apply in times of pressure and rapid change.
After silently battling his own mental health struggles during his policing career, including PTSD and depression, Rob now speaks openly about the dangers of never opening up. His story is a raw and relatable insight into what happens when people suffer in silence, and how it’s possible to come back stronger with the right support. He uses these personal experiences to break down stigmas and spark important conversations around mental health, trauma, and emotional wellbeing.
