IWD – Invest in Women
The theme for this year’s International Women’s Day, which takes place in the UK on Friday 8th March 2024, is “Invest in women: Accelerate progress”.
The aim of the IWD 2024 is to help achieve gender equality and improve women’s well-being in all aspects of life – more information can be found on the UN website.

ANJ HANDA

As a Non-Exec Director, she has board-level experience in the design and implementation of diversity, inclusion, and social impact programmes. In her talks, Anj draws on her own experiences when speaking about diversity, equity, and inclusion in leadership, covering little-explored themes such as psychological safety, emotional correctness, and healthy boundaries.
CATHERINE MAYER

Difference Works: Why true diversity and inclusion is about much more than ticking boxes Organisations know they need to improve the diversity of their workforces—but they often don’t know why. Catherine unravels the confusion surrounding diversity and diversity programmes, highlights the dangers of creating echo chambers or cultures that suppress dissident opinions, and demonstrates the value of more inclusive cultures.
EBRU KOKSAL

Ebru has held several senior positions at Galatasaray including, Galatasaray Marketing General Manager (2001 – 2006), Galatasaray SC Marketing and Finance Group Head (2006 – 2009), Galatasaray Stadium General Manager (2009 – 2010).
Following the merger of football, stadium, and marketing companies in 2010, she was appointed as the General Manager of the merged entity, Galatasaray Sportif A.Ş. Ms. Köksal was the first woman to be elected to the Executive Board of the European Club Association in September 2010 and she served as the vice chairwoman of Institutional Relations Working Group.
HATTIE HASAN MBE

Hattie Hasan is the CEO of Stopcocks Group Limited, which incorporates Stopcocks Women Plumbers; the first national company of women plumbers, Stopcocks Consultancy, working with companies to increase the numbers of women in construction, and Register of Tradeswomen CIC a not-for-profit, the only organisation connecting customers nationally with verified tradeswomen; established to enable survivors of abuse to train in trades and increase numbers of tradeswomen
DONNA FRASER OBE

In 2021 she was awarded an OBE (Order of the British Empire) for services to equality, diversity, and inclusion in the workplace and has served as a Trustee, advisor, and Board member for multiple organisations such as the London Marathon Charitable Trust, Women’s Sports Trust, British Athletes Commission, International Women’s Group and Her Spirit to name a few.
FARRAH STORR

Farrah took over the Cosmopolitan brand in 2015 and led the magazine through a dramatic new look leading to the magazine becoming the best-selling young women’s title in the UK and increasing circulation by an unprecedented 59%.
Before this Farrah launched Women’s Health in the UK, where under her leadership it became the most successful women’s magazine launch of the decade, Farrah has held high-profile positions at many of the UK’s and Australia’s glossy women’s magazines including features director at Marie Claire in Sydney and Glamour UK.
